Objective Mind

Shipping a live AI product end to end

A founder-accountability web app for small pods of founders, taken from HTML prototypes to a hosted product with sign-in, sync and AI briefings.

Problem

Founders need a regular, low-effort way to account to each other for what they said they would do. Objective Mind is a founder-accountability web app built around small pods of founders.

Approach

Make the daily habit cheap and the app dependable. It is offline first: it installs to a laptop or phone and keeps working with no network, because the browser holds the data. It also ships with a seeded sample cohort, so it is usable the moment it opens.

Architecture

A Next.js progressive web app on Vercel, with a Supabase backend. A local database in the browser (Dexie over IndexedDB) is the single source of truth, so every edit is saved on the device and survives a restart. Supabase adds background sync across devices, and without its settings the app runs fully local. Sign-in is by magic link with no passwords, on a Supabase project in the EU. The AI features, note insights and a daily briefing, call the Claude API from the server and are only active when a key is set.

What I built

The core loops are a daily Pulse with one post per builder per day, weekly pod check-ins, weekly sessions, self-staffing projects and a light briefing. The stack is Next.js 16 with the App Router, React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind v4, Dexie and the Supabase client. The last build added per-project and pod dashboards and a goals layer, with database rules that deny by default and check membership.

Results

The handoff of 20 July 2026 records the production deploy as done and live on objectivemind.co.uk, with nothing outstanding on that build.
